Customer Insurance Benefits Advisor

About the role

Sutherland is looking for a motivated Customer Insurance Benefits Advisor to provide exceptional service to patients and healthcare customers. You will be the primary point of contact, handling inbound calls, answering inquiries about dental health insurance, processing payments and maintaining accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls and respond to customer inquiries about insurance products, claims and policy administration.
• Process payments, perform account maintenance and up‑sell additional products or services when appropriate.
• Compile information from multiple systems and deliver clear, concise responses following established protocols.
• Protect customer privacy, demonstrate empathy and professionalism, and create detailed documentation for internal partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 18 years old with a high school diploma, GED or equivalent CXC/GCE qualifications and proof of ID, TRN and NIS card.
• Flexible availability to work any shift, including weekends and public holidays, and ability to work onsite at the Red Hills Road location.
• At least 1 year of BPO/customer service experience preferred and ability to pass background and drug checks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and a passion for helping customers.

Required skills

• Proficiency with multiple system applications and CRM platforms.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel) and PC keyboarding.
• Typing speed of 30+ WPM with 80% accuracy.
• Ability to multitask across several applications and troubleshoot technical issues.
