Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Deputy CEO)

About the role

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer acts as the primary execution partner to the CEO, translating strategic priorities into measurable outcomes across the enterprise. This senior leader drives performance of core revenue‑generating businesses, ensures alignment of operational and commercial activities, and steps in as Acting CEO when required.

Key responsibilities

• Support the CEO in overall leadership and management of the company.
• Drive execution of the strategic plan and annual business objectives, aligning corporate strategy with departmental and individual goals.
• Oversee core client‑facing businesses such as Investment Banking, Wealth Management, Trading & Brokerage, and Treasury, ensuring revenue growth, profitability, and market‑share expansion.
• Monitor business performance against budgets, identify revenue‑enhancement opportunities, and promote cross‑selling across lines.
• Lead enterprise‑wide implementation of Board‑approved strategic initiatives and maintain mechanisms to track delivery.
• Foster a culture of accountability, performance excellence, collaboration, innovation, and client‑centricity.
• Act as the primary executive translating strategy into execution and resolve operational, commercial, and organizational challenges promptly.

Required profile

• Extensive senior leadership experience in a financial services or related environment.
• Proven track record of delivering strategic initiatives and driving profitable growth.
• Strong commercial acumen with deep understanding of investment banking, wealth management, trading, and treasury operations.
• Ability to influence and align diverse business units and senior stakeholders.
• Readiness to assume CEO responsibilities on an interim basis.
