Deputy Managing Director, Technical Services

About the role

Under the general supervision of the Managing Director, the Deputy Managing Director, Technical Services will provide strategic leadership and executive oversight for JSIF’s Technical Services Division. The role guides planning, design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of socio‑economic infrastructure and social development projects, ensuring efficiency, transparency and compliance with regulations, donor requirements and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Provides strategic leadership and direction for JSIF’s Technical Services Division
• Oversees the design and implementation of socio‑economic infrastructure and development programmes
• Leads the development and execution of project management policies, systems, and standards
• Drives integration of social development objectives into infrastructure projects
• Oversees project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation processes
• Manages relationships with government entities, donors, consultants, and community stakeholders
• Leads negotiations with multilateral and development funding partners
• Reviews and approves technical reports, project evaluations, and performance reports
• Oversees contract management, including contractor and consultant performance
• Manages the effective utilisation of technical staff across the project portfolio
• Contributes to organisational strategy, budgeting, and annual work planning
• Provides executive‑level reporting to the Managing Director and Board of Directors
