Cost and Planning Supervisor

About the role

Catalonia Hotels & Resorts is looking for a detail-oriented, results-driven Cost & Planning Manager to oversee the financial and commercial performance of its hotel construction and development projects. The role covers budget management, cost control, procurement oversight and value optimisation across the project lifecycle. The position is based in Jamaica and the successful candidate must be willing to relocate for the duration of the project.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, cost plans, cash flow forecasts and financial reporting.
• Monitor project costs, commitments, procurement spend and forecasts against approved budgets.
• Review contractor valuations, payment applications, variations, claims and final accounts.
• Support tendering, procurement, contract negotiations and award recommendations.
• Maintain cost-control systems, risk registers and commercial records.
• Identify cost-saving and value-engineering opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborate with project teams, consultants, contractors, procurement and finance.
• Support project close-out, including reconciliations and final reporting.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in cost management, quantity surveying, commercial management or project controls.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, cost control, claims and financial reporting.
• Preferred: hotel or resort developments, quantity surveying, cost planning, procurement management, FF&E/OS&E budgeting, value engineering, commercial risk management and cash-flow forecasting.
