Disbursement Operations Associate – Contract

About the role

The Disbursement Operations Associate provides essential operational support to the Disbursement Operations Department, ensuring electronic disbursements are prepared, validated, and processed accurately and on time. This contract position is based in Kingston and works closely with internal business units and external financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, validate, and submit electronic payment files or instructions through approved channels for review and approval.
• Support one‑off, recurring, and pre‑authorized electronic payment requests.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, trackers, audit trails, and related records for monitoring, reconciliation, and control.
• Identify, investigate, document, and escalate payment exceptions, failed transactions, data discrepancies, and incomplete requests.
• Assist with business collaboration, query management, service follow‑up, and continuous improvement of electronic disbursement processes.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of spreadsheet and word‑processing applications.
• Good understanding of electronic payment processing concepts and related operational controls.
• Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage time‑sensitive tasks in a controlled processing environment.
• Learning agility and adaptability to evolving payment channels and process improvements.
