Electronic Payment Assistant

About the role

The Electronic Payment Assistant supports the Revenue Operations and Payment team by ensuring electronic payments are accurately applied to client policies. This role works with both Sagicor Jamaica and Sagicor Cayman, maintaining high client satisfaction and meeting departmental goals.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and update policies with electronic payments received via RTGS.
• Review the daily electronic spreadsheet and update client policies accordingly.
• Identify and resolve anomalies in policy crediting.
• Contact clients or companies to obtain payment details when needed.
• Recommend policies for reinstatement without form (RWOF) after outstanding premiums are paid.
• Update the spreadsheet daily with batch number, policy number/company name, user ID, and date.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum six CXC general proficiency subjects, including Mathematics and English Language.
• LOMA Parts 1 and 2 or similar industry designation is an asset.
• Two years of relevant experience, with at least one year in an operations division of a life insurance company.
• Strong knowledge of computer software packages, especially spreadsheet and word processing applications.
• Excellent human relations, time‑management, and customer‑service orientation.
• Working knowledge of insurance policies, processes, and basic accounting principles.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
