IT Risk and Compliance Issue Manager

About the role

The IT Risk and Compliance Issue Manager will own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of risk and compliance issues for KPMG Jamaica’s support centre, working closely with issue owners, remediation owners and audit stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned issues from investigation through verified closure, leading root‑cause analysis and remediation planning.
• Monitor remediation progress against milestones, evaluate evidence, and escalate risks, delays or obstacles.
• Lead small to medium‑sized projects, produce monthly and quarterly leadership reports, and analyse issue‑aging trends.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and quality review for junior issue‑management team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Management or related field.
• Minimum five years of risk and compliance experience in a large professional‑services environment, preferably with IT assurance or cybersecurity focus.
• Relevant certifications such as CIA, CISA, CISM, CRISC or CISSP are preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication and independent judgement skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with generative AI tools, specifically Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot.
• Experience developing custom AI agents.
• Familiarity with data‑visualisation platforms, especially Power BI.
