IT/OT Security Engineer

About the role

A global organisation is looking for an IT/OT Security Engineer to join on a 6-month extendable contract in Kingston, Jamaica, in a hybrid role. The engineer supports technology across IT and operational/industrial environments, with a focus on infrastructure, cyber security and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Infrastructure development and maintenance
• Cyber security and compliance
• Incident management and acting as subject matter expert
• Protecting production environments while reducing cyber risk without disrupting operations
• Planning and delivering infrastructure lifecycle work such as upgrades, replacements, remediation and modernisation

Required profile

• Background supporting technology across IT and operational/industrial environments, preferably in manufacturing, engineering or another production-led organisation
• Experience supporting technology estates across multiple operational locations
• Ownership of on-site technology infrastructure, including network equipment, compute environments and physical facilities
• Familiarity with industrial automation and control environments such as SCADA, ICS and PLC-based systems
• Ability to work across corporate IT and operational technology teams

Required skills

• Professional certifications or equivalent expertise in networking, infrastructure and information security
• Good knowledge of OT security
• Proven ability to plan and deliver infrastructure lifecycle work
