Cybersecurity Assessment Lead

About the role

KPMG Jamaica's Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS), based in Kingston, is looking for a Cybersecurity Assessment Lead. The role acts as a trusted cybersecurity advisor to the client, helping it securely adopt and manage applications, cloud services, AI solutions and emerging technologies. It provides strategic oversight of the security assessment lifecycle, turning complex technical risks into clear business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead security assessments for applications, infrastructure, cloud services, AI solutions and emerging technologies
• Identify risks, define security requirements and document risk treatment and residual risk decisions
• Coordinate security testing such as AI Red Teaming, application penetration testing, SAST, DAST and open-source software reviews
• Drive remediation with development teams and advise on compensating controls
• Use AI-assisted tools in daily operations to improve assessment effectiveness and decision-making
• Own the stakeholder engagement and communication strategy, manage expectations and escalate issues to the Portfolio Manager and JESS leadership

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• At least five years of experience in cybersecurity risk assessments, security architecture reviews or security consulting
• Preferred: CISSP and/or CCSP certification
• Experience using AI-enabled tools for security assessments and mentoring less experienced colleagues
