IT Risk and Compliance Issue Manager

About the role

The IT Risk and Compliance Issue Manager will own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of risk and compliance issues, driving investigations, remediation planning and verified closure. You will work closely with issue owners, technical stakeholders and senior leadership to ensure timely resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned risk and compliance issues from initial investigation through verified closure, coordinating remediation activities and timelines.
• Lead root‑cause analyses, develop remediation plans, monitor progress against milestones and escalate risks or delays.
• Prepare and lead issue‑management working sessions, ensuring actions, dependencies and risks are documented and tracked.
• Produce accurate monthly and quarterly leadership reports, highlighting issue‑aging trends and remediation challenges.
• Oversee junior team members, providing coaching, mentoring and quality reviews of work products.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Management or related field.
• Minimum five years of risk and compliance experience in a large professional services environment, preferably with IT assurance or cybersecurity focus.
• Strong analytical, communication and independent judgement skills, with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience partnering with technical owners, risk executives and audit teams to manage remediation timelines and escalations.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with generative AI tools such as Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot.
• Familiarity with data‑visualisation platforms, particularly Power BI.
