Manager, Asset Management Operations Support

About the role

The Manager, Asset Management Operations Support at Scotia Investments Jamaica Limited leads the operational support activities of the Asset Management Unit. The role covers investment operations, pension administration, fiduciary oversight, regulatory compliance and risk management, while managing key stakeholder relationships, supporting staff development and driving the ongoing Pension Administration Strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily operational activities supporting Asset Management, including investment transactions, settlements, reconciliations, reporting and operational controls.
• Provide oversight of corporate trustee, escrow, agency, pension administration and related institutional services.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, fiduciary obligations, internal policies, AML/ATF requirements and operational risk standards.
• Manage key client and stakeholder relationships and ensure timely resolution and escalation of operational and service matters.
• Review and approve transactions, reports, regulatory deliverables and other activities within established authority limits.
• Lead, coach and develop the team, promoting accountability, cross-training, operational resilience and a high-performance culture.
• Drive process and control improvements to improve operational efficiency, service quality, risk management and business growth.

Required profile

• Postgraduate degree or relevant professional certification in Accounting, Economics, Financial Engineering, Business, Law or a related discipline.
• Recognized professional accreditation such as ACCA, CPA or an equivalent, or demonstrated progress toward a relevant professional qualification.
• At least five years' relevant experience in Fund Management, Fund Administration, Asset Management Operations or Operations Support.
• Relevant banking and/or financial services industry experience.
