Regional Translator (Spanish, French, German)

About the role

The Regional Translator at Couples Resorts works part‑time on‑site in Negril, providing written and verbal translation between English, Spanish, French and German. The role supports guest communication, marketing materials and internal documents to enhance the experience of multilingual visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Translate guest‑facing content such as brochures, menus, signage and web copy.
• Assist resort staff in communicating with international guests.
• Collaborate with resort teams to ensure culturally appropriate messaging.
• Provide occasional interpreting during guest interactions, events or meetings.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in English, Spanish, French and German with accurate written and verbal expression.
• Excellent attention to detail and cultural sensitivity.
• Ability to work on‑site in Negril and legally in Jamaica.
• Relevant certification or degree in Translation, Linguistics or a related field is an advantage.

Required skills

• Professional translation and interpreting across the four languages.
• Experience translating hospitality or tourism‑related content (highly beneficial).
• Previous experience in a hotel, resort or customer‑service environment (preferred).
