Retail Merchandiser – In‑Store Visual & Stock Management

About the role

Active Home Centre is seeking a full‑time Merchandiser to join its Kingston store. The role focuses on creating attractive, well‑stocked displays that drive sales and enhance the customer experience across our home‑improvement product range.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, set up and maintain product displays and showroom layouts in line with brand guidelines.
• Monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, price and label items, and ensure shelves remain fully stocked.
• Collaborate with sales, purchasing and marketing teams to support promotions, seasonal campaigns and visual merchandising standards.
• Analyse sales data and customer feedback to optimise product placement and improve the shopping journey.
• Keep retail areas clean, organized and compliant with safety and merchandising standards.
• Provide product information and assistance to customers and colleagues as needed.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and a proven track record in retail or customer‑service environments.
• Ability to work on your feet, lift moderate weights and move around the store throughout the day.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional retail or merchandising training is a plus.
• Experience in home‑improvement, furniture or similar retail sectors is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with inventory management systems and basic computer applications.
• Attention to detail and an eye for visual layout, colour and design.
• Basic marketing awareness to execute in‑store promotions.
