Securities Assistant

About the role

The Securities Assistant will provide essential administrative support to the Centralized Collateral & Securities team at Sagicor Bank Jamaica. The role involves logging and authorising collaterals, managing custody arrangements, and maintaining the Security Files Management System.

Key responsibilities

• Log and authorise collaterals on T24 and NSIPP systems.
• Manage custody arrangements and dispatch authorised packages to the PP Team.
• Oversee safekeeping records, catalogue security files, and maintain the file management system.
• Administer the CCSD stationery budget and supervise cabinet and vault activities.
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail, and manage culling and archiving processes.
• Prepare the National Housing Trust report and log motor vehicle titles on T24.
• Complete monthly and quarterly returns, reports and reconciliations.
• Prepare entries and collect Manager’s Cheques for residential mortgage loan underwriting.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Diploma in Business Management or related field, or minimum six GCE O‑Level/CXC qualifications including English and a numeric subject.
• At least two years banking experience with one year in a credit/loan environment.
• High degree of accuracy, confidentiality and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong time‑management, prioritisation and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• In‑depth knowledge of the T24 Core Banking Application.
• Basic understanding of credit facilities, bank policies and security documentation.
