Accounts Payable Clerk

About the role

Celebration Brands Limited, a joint venture between Red Stripe and Pepsi Cola Jamaica serving as a sales and distribution company for beverages across Jamaica, is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk. The role ensures timely and accurate payment of local and international suppliers and keeps accounts payable records accurate, reconciled and reported in the right accounting period.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end accounts payable payment cycle, settling local and international supplier obligations on time according to agreed terms.
• Prepare, review and reconcile supplier statements, payment reports and accounts payable records, and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate weekly payments, including supplier cheques, wire transfers, payment approvals, remittances and distribution to stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate financial records such as accruals, reversals, supplier master data updates and supporting documentation for audit readiness.
• Work with internal teams and suppliers to resolve payment queries and bank reconciliation items.
• Identify and implement process improvements while complying with company policies, financial controls and operational requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounts payable or accounting function.
• ACCA Level 1 or an associate degree in a related discipline.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
• SAP knowledge is an asset.
