Assistant General Manager - Quick Service Restaurants

About the role

A Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) chain is looking for a highly motivated, results-driven Deputy General Manager to join its leadership team. Reporting to the General Manager, the Deputy GM collaborates closely with him to lead and inspire teams, drive business growth and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and monitor KPIs to ensure profitability and service excellence
• Lead, train and mentor restaurant managers and staff, and foster a positive work culture
• Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness and customer service, and resolve customer complaints promptly
• Assist the General Manager with budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting, and control labor costs, waste and food costs
• Support local marketing initiatives and campaigns, working with the marketing team to keep the brand consistent
• Report regularly to the General Manager on performance, challenges and successes, and keep staff aligned with company goals

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in the QSR industry, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Strong leadership, team-building, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple locations
• Knowledge of food safety and health regulations

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems
• Financial acumen: budgeting, cost control and profitability analysis
