Customer Service Consultant (Remote, Jamaica)

About the role

New York Solar Program is hiring a fully remote Support Ambassador based in Jamaica. The role uses communication and customer service skills to educate homeowners about the benefits of switching to solar energy at no out-of-pocket cost, despite government funding and incentives in New York.

Key responsibilities

• Make outbound and inbound calls to homeowners in prime solar areas, building rapport, setting and rescheduling appointments and handling other customer service tasks.
• Educate homeowners on the benefits of getting solar now while it is government-funded.
• Manage the CRM and use customer service tools, sales resources and ongoing coaching.

Required profile

• Excellent oral and written English (C1 level).
• Resides in Jamaica.
• Willing to learn and apply what is taught in training; outgoing, professional and self-motivated.
• Detail-oriented, tech-savvy and able to work independently within a team.
• Genuine interest in renewable energy and sustainability.
• Ability to work Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM EST, with a 2-hour Saturday shift.

Required skills

• High-speed internet, laptop or computer and headset.
• Experience coaching and mentoring teams.
