Field Assistant – Surveys & Mapping Division

About the role

The Field Assistant will support the efficient execution of various survey projects undertaken by the Surveys & Mapping Division. Working under the supervision of Surveyors, Chief Field Assistants and Assistant Surveyors, the role involves hands‑on field work and data collection.

Key responsibilities

• Assist survey teams in setting up and operating field equipment.
• Collect, record, and verify survey data on site.
• Maintain and transport survey instruments and supplies.
• Support the preparation of field reports and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during field operations.

Required profile

• Secondary School Leaving Certificate.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Physical fitness to handle field tasks.

• Annual salary ranging from 1,181,428 to 1,588,889 Jamaican dollars.
