Graveyard Baker (CNG)

About the role

The Graveyard Baker is a full-time on-site position at Couples Resorts in Negril, focused on preparing, baking and finishing a wide range of baked goods during overnight shifts so that fresh products are ready for guests each morning.

Key responsibilities

• Mix doughs and batters and bake breads and cookies.
• Monitor ovens and equipment and follow standardized recipes and portion controls.
• Assist with food preparation tasks related to the bakery.
• Keep the work area organized, clean and safe, in line with resort and food safety standards.
• Work closely with the culinary team and communicate clearly with supervisors.

Required profile

• Bakery production skills, including experience in a professional bakery.
• Ability to work overnight shifts, stand for long periods and cope with a fast-paced kitchen.
• Attention to detail, time management and ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Previous experience in a hotel, resort or commercial bakery is an asset.

Required skills

• Mixing, proofing and baking to consistent quality standards.
• Safe food handling, accurate measuring and recipe following.
• Shaping, decorating and finishing cookies and pastries.
• Bread-making: preparing, shaping and baking different breads and rolls.
• Food safety and sanitation knowledge, including HACCP or equivalent.
