Maintenance Repair Technician I – Airport Services

About the role

The Maintenance Repair Technician I will service passenger loading bridges and other ground‑support equipment at Sangster International Airport. You will ensure equipment operates safely and reliably for airline customers.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain mechanical and electrical systems using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Dismantle equipment, replace defective parts, and perform preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance.
• Document repairs, parts usage and labor time in the Maintenance Connection CMMS.
• Provide 24‑hour emergency response support and adhere to lock‑out/tag‑out and PPE procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license.
• At least 2 years of experience in equipment maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to obtain security badge and work in restricted airport areas.
• Willingness to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift, including weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of PLC control systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturer schematics and service manuals.
