Manager - Tourism Workers Pension Scheme

About the role

Sagicor Employee Benefits Administrators Limited is seeking a Manager for its Pension Services team to manage the Tourism Workers Pension Scheme (TWPS) in Kingston. The role covers administrative operations, stakeholder engagement, regulatory compliance, accurate processing and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide managerial oversight of the TWPS, including staffing, service standards, training, performance, workload management, performance appraisals, escalations and continuous improvement.
• Manage enrolment, member communication, enrolment audits, approval of benefit payments, transfers, realignments, fees, commissions, deposits and withdrawals, and liaise with stakeholders on record maintenance.
• Prepare monthly, annual, regulatory, statutory, actuarial, solvency and quarterly statistical reports; coordinate the annual audit; prepare proceeds of crime compliant acts and the solvency report.
• Maintain relationships with trustees, the Ministry of Tourism, employer groups, regulators and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate operational enhancement projects covering systems, reporting, compliance, stakeholder engagement and process efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Management Studies, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration or another relevant discipline from a recognised institution.
• Three years' experience in pension administration, retirement scheme operations, financial services administration or a related supervisory role.
• Sound understanding of the pension regulatory framework and strong customer-centred focus.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of computer software packages, including spreadsheets and word processing applications.
• Supervisory, analytical, stakeholder-management and process-improvement capability.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and effective management of time, materials and human resources.
