Medical Doctor

About the role

IntelMed Group Limited is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Medical Doctor to deliver comprehensive clinical care in its Kingston clinic. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, treating and following up patients with acute and chronic conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe appropriate medications.
• Perform minor procedures within the clinic’s scope of practice and ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with nurses, allied health professionals and administrative staff to provide coordinated, patient‑centered care.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives, patient education on prevention and disease management, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Valid medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and full registration/licensure with the Jamaican Medical Council in good standing.
• Clinical experience in primary care, internal medicine or family medicine, preferably in ambulatory or community‑based settings.
• Strong diagnostic and decision‑making skills, including history‑taking, physical examination and interpretation of lab and imaging results.
• Excellent communication, cultural sensitivity and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.

• Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, confidentiality and adherence to national healthcare regulations.
