Plan Examiner – Surveys & Mapping Division

About the role

The Plan Examiner will join the Surveys & Mapping Division and report to the Assistant Chief Examiner. The role focuses on ensuring that all plans annexed to Certificates of Title comply with the Land Surveyors Act, related regulations, and the relevant sections of the Land Titles Act.

Key responsibilities

• Review and examine land survey plans for compliance with statutory requirements.
• Verify that plans are correctly prepared for annexation to Certificates of Title.
• Maintain accurate records of examined plans and related documentation.
• Provide feedback to surveyors and internal teams on any deficiencies or required corrections.
• Support the Assistant Chief Examiner in upholding departmental standards and procedures.

Required profile

• Five (5) CSEC subjects, including English Language, Mathematics and Geography.
• Land Surveying Technician Certificate is considered an asset.

• Salary range: JMD 1,711,060.00 – JMD 2,301,185.00 per annum.
