Project Accountant

About the role

The ARC Group, a Jamaican group of companies in manufacturing, property and construction, is hiring a full-time, on-site Project Accountant. The role manages the finances of the Group's construction projects, with Wick Hall Estate, a residential development under construction, as the immediate focus.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor project budgets and track costs against forecasts
• Manage project payables and receivables
• Review contracts and invoices
• Reconcile project ledgers
• Support funding drawdowns, cash flow projections and reporting to management and lenders
• Work closely with the construction team, procurement and senior finance staff

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Project accounting experience, including budgeting, cost tracking, variance analysis and financial reporting
• Sound general accounting practice, including reconciliations and month-end close
• Construction or real estate development finance experience is an advantage
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines

Required skills

• Accounting or ERP software experience
• Strong Excel skills
