Retail Store Associate – Customer Service & Sales

About the role

The Store Associate supports the success of our retail locations by delivering knowledgeable product advice, handling sales transactions, and maintaining a clean, well‑organized store environment. You will interact directly with wholesale and retail customers, helping them find the right Sherwin‑Williams solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in‑person and over the phone, identifying needs and recommending appropriate products.
• Process sales accurately according to company policies and achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets.
• Maintain precise work order files, pull products from the sales floor or warehouse, and mix/tint products to customer specifications.
• Stock shelves, set up displays, and keep the store, office, and warehouse clean and organized.
• Load and unload delivery trucks, assist with deliveries, and ensure assigned areas remain well‑stocked and presentable.
• Stay up‑to‑date on product features and comply with inventory control procedures.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old and legally authorized to work without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GCE/CXC CSEC with passing grades in Math & English).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb frequently and up to 70 lb occasionally.
• Willingness to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
• For internal candidates, a recent performance rating of “meets expectations” or higher.
