Sales Development Representative (SDR)

About the role

The Hive Careers is hiring Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) with experience in a call centre or outbound sales environment. The successful candidates make outbound calls, generate qualified leads, engage prospective clients and schedule discovery meetings to support business growth across five service areas: Recruitment, Staffing, Career Development, Technology and Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Make daily outbound calls to introduce the company's services and generate business opportunities.
• Identify and qualify leads through cold calling, email and other outreach channels.
• Engage business owners, managers and decision-makers to identify their needs.
• Schedule discovery meetings for the business development team.
• Communicate service offerings, handle objections and maintain prospect interest.
• Follow up with potential clients and keep call logs, client information and sales activity in the CRM.
• Meet or exceed targets for outbound calls, qualified leads and scheduled meetings.
• Update colleagues on pipeline progress and performance, and collaborate with internal teams on client acquisition.

Required profile

• At least five CXC/CSEC subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
• Minimum two years in a call centre, preferably in outbound sales, telemarketing, lead generation or appointment setting.
• Proven ability to make outbound calls and meet targets; strong communication, persuasion and objection-handling skills.
• Experience with call centre performance metrics and KPIs.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, with good time management and multitasking.
• Preferred: experience in a sales-focused BPO, cold calling, B2B sales, appointment setting, or engaging international clients in the Caribbean or US markets.

Required skills

• Familiarity with CRM systems and platforms, lead tracking and sales pipeline management.
• Good computer skills and telephone etiquette.
