Security Officer

About the role

SecureWorld Corporation is seeking a full‑time Security Officer to join its on‑site team in Montego Bay. You will be the front line of protection for client properties, ensuring a safe environment through vigilant monitoring and rapid response.

Key responsibilities

• Control access points and verify credentials of visitors and staff.
• Patrol assigned areas, observe for suspicious activity, and report any incidents.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and safety hazards following established protocols.
• Complete accurate incident and shift reports and communicate with clients, visitors, and local authorities as needed.
• Operate security equipment such as CCTV cameras, alarm panels, and radios.

Required profile

• Strong observational and analytical abilities, including situational awareness and threat assessment.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Reliability, punctuality, ethical conduct, and confidentiality.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods and work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
