Security Officer

About the role

The Security Officer is a full‑time, on‑site position at SeaGarden Beach Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica. You will help maintain a safe environment for guests and team members by monitoring all resort areas and responding to incidents promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular foot patrols of entrances, public spaces, guest floors and the beachfront.
• Manage access control points and monitor CCTV systems for suspicious activity.
• Respond to emergencies, de‑escalate conflicts and collaborate with local law enforcement when needed.
• Prepare clear incident reports and maintain security logs.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in security, law enforcement or a similar protective services role, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong situational awareness, vigilance and risk‑assessment abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with conflict‑resolution capability.
• Physical fitness to conduct patrols and respond quickly during emergencies.
