Senior Accounts Receivable Officer – Level 6

About the role

The Senior Accounts Receivable Officer will manage the accounts receivable sub‑ledger, ensure timely debt collection, and maintain compliance with GAAP, the FAA Act and organisational guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the corporate office cashier function, perform daily reconciliations and record transactions in the GRM application.
• Maintain the Accounts Receivable sub‑ledger, generate invoices, prepare aged receivable schedules and monthly collection statements.
• Collect outstanding debts, generate statements, liaise with customers and reconcile Sage 300 sub‑ledger with the general ledger.
• Provide guidance and performance appraisals to direct reports, ensure staff compliance with policies and procedures.
• Assist internal and external auditors with required documentation.

Required profile

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal abilities and result‑oriented mindset.
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles and related statutory regulations (FAA Act, IFRS, IPSAS, GAAP).
• Minimum qualifications: AAT Level 2, CAT Level B, Associate of Science in Accounting, Diploma in Government Accounting, or 2nd‑year Bachelor’s in Accounting/Management Studies.
• At least two years of experience in an accounting environment.
