Senior Finance Manager - Reporting & Analysis

About the role

Financial Group is looking for a qualified finance manager to guide and monitor the day-to-day financial operations of its bank. The incumbent produces financial reports for management and regulators in line with IFRS and the Banking Services Act (2014).

Key responsibilities

• Verify and approve daily inputs, journal entries and general ledger schedules, and ensure accounting reconciliations follow bank policy.
• Supervise department team members and review reconciliations (bank, intercompany, broker, general ledger) so that clearing items are investigated and corrected in time.
• Manage accounts payable and assist in preparing the bank's annual budget.
• Prepare fair value computations for the bank and review BOJ reports.
• Review and supervise monthly management accounts and reports, and assist in presenting them at the P&L meeting.
• Provide monthly financial analyses and ad-hoc analysis for decision making.
• Prepare quarterly ECL calculations and manage the annual audit process and information provided to external auditors.
• Research and respond to queries from regulatory bodies and agencies.

Required profile

• Postgraduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, Banking or equivalent, or ACCA/CA/CPA designation.
• At least four years of experience in a leadership capacity.
• At least six years of relevant experience in senior financial management and control, preferably in banking or financial services with regulatory and compliance activities.

The job is based on a forty-hour week, with flexible hours during the week and possibly on weekends and public holidays.
