About the role
The Settlement Officer supports the Finance department by ensuring accurate cash management, daily settlements, and timely reporting. Reporting to the Settlement Supervisor, this role is essential for maintaining financial integrity across the distribution network.
Key responsibilities
- Process deposits for drivers, cheques, and cash, ensuring accuracy and counterfeit detection.
- Prepare sealed deposit bags and dispatch them to the bank daily via courier.
- Disburse cash for approved petty‑cash vouchers and reimburse petty‑cash floats promptly.
- Generate and submit daily reports including cashier, guard, credit‑card/cheque logs, vault, AML tracking, settlement, cash balance, and driver shortage reports.
- Update settlement KPI boards and maintain accurate filing of route information.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 CXC/GCE O‑Level/CAPE passes.
- At least 1 year of experience in a finance or cash‑handling role.
- Strong organizational, time‑management and follow‑up abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with shift work (including nights).
