Accounting Clerk – Inventory Management

About the role

The Inventory Accounting Clerk supports the accurate management of inventory, distributor orders, invoicing, accounts receivable and supplier payments. This position ensures that stock records, financial reports and statutory filings are maintained correctly while assisting with customs clearance and transaction processing.

Key responsibilities

• Manage deliveries of goods to distributors and process distributor orders, including invoicing.
• Prepare daily inventory status reports and distribute them to distributors via email.
• Conduct monthly stock counts, reconcile finished and damaged goods, and assist with year‑end dual‑custody stock counts.
• Support accounts receivable by contacting debtors, preparing statements and sending them to distributors.
• Generate quotations, process invoices, credit notes and receipts, and file them accurately.
• Verify customs charges, process online payments for container clearance, and handle customs documentation.
• Enter purchase orders, cost of goods received, and supplier payments into the accounting system.
• Prepare and file monthly General Consumption Tax (GCT) returns and annual statutory returns.
• Record casual worker hours, enter expenses and customer payments, and maintain accurate accounting records.

Required profile

• Associate degree or at least three CSEC passes including Mathematics, English Language and Principles of Accounting.
• Three to five years of experience in inventory management, accounts receivable, sales or administrative support.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar accounting software is an asset.

• Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) or comparable accounting software.
