Accounts Payable Officer – Finance & Accounting

About the role

KPMG Jamaica’s Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS) is expanding its Finance & Accounting team to support the Accounts Payable function for KPMG United States. The Accounts Payable Officer will work under a team‑extension model, handling vendor invoices, data entry, and payment verification while collaborating with both local and US‑based stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Review and enter high‑volume vendor invoice details accurately.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies, reject duplicate invoices, and communicate with vendors.
• Maintain and update the vendor master file, guiding vendors through set‑up processes.
• Monitor and clear exceptions for electronic invoices and aged items.
• Respond to urgent requests from the Dallas AP team and area controllers.
• Assist in reviewing purchase‑order related exceptions and submit for approval.
• Verify payment details for accuracy before processing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related professional accreditation.
• Minimum two years of experience in Accounts Payable or a comparable accounting function.
• Strong administrative support skills, including correspondence management and report preparation.
• Proficiency with standard office technology and a willingness to adopt new tools.
