Actuarial Manager (Life) – Consulting

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an experienced Actuarial Manager to lead life insurance consulting engagements in Jamaica. You will manage a portfolio of key clients, oversee the full engagement lifecycle, and contribute to business development initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead teams on economic capital modelling, loss reserve determination, risk management, and audit support projects.
• Manage end‑to‑end actuarial engagements, ensuring quality delivery and client satisfaction.
• Train and coach junior staff on tools, new technologies, and industry standards.
• Participate in proposal development, client presentations, and marketing activities.
• Collaborate with global actuarial teams on cross‑border projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent qualification (e.g., ACCA).
• Fellowship with a recognized actuarial society (SOA, CAS, Institute of Actuaries, etc.).
• Minimum 5 years of progressive actuarial consulting experience.
• Proven project‑management skills and experience leading engagements.
• Experience with IFRS 17 and/or US GAAP LDTI implementation projects.
