Billings and Receivables Clerk – University Finance Role

About the role

The Caribbean Maritime University is seeking a Billings and Receivables Clerk to support its finance team. Working under the Senior Manager, Billings and Collection, the clerk will ensure student invoices are accurate, payments are reconciled, and queries are handled promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile payments received by the Paymaster.
• Prepare invoices for status letters, transcripts and course re‑sits.
• Maintain and update the graduate masters student accounts receivable spreadsheet.
• Process student refund requests and prepare related statements.
• Adjust student accounts for tuition, auxiliary fees and other charges.
• Act as relief cashier when needed.
• Respond to student inquiries via email and telephone.
• Perform additional duties aligned with university objectives.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in Management Studies or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in a similar accounting or billing role.
• High proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with International Accounting Standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate unidentified payments.
