Business & Corporate Credit Solutions Manager

About the role

The Business & Corporate Credit Solutions Manager will drive profitable growth of the bank’s credit portfolio by designing and delivering tailored financial solutions to business and corporate clients. Working closely with Business Bankers and Corporate Relationship Managers, the role bridges client needs with the bank’s risk and credit policies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis and recommend terms, pricing, and covenants for viable banking proposals.
• Prepare and present credit proposals in partnership with Business Bankers and Corporate Relationship Managers.
• Monitor and review credit facilities before expiry, ensuring timely extensions and compliance.
• Assess collateral adequacy and borrower capacity, presenting recommendations to the Credit Committee.
• Ensure all credit activities adhere to the Banking Act, BOJ regulations, and internal lending policies.
• Provide training, guidance, and coaching to sales and credit teams.
• Prepare commitment letters for approved loans promptly.

Required profile

• In‑depth knowledge of Jamaica’s commercial banking market and key industry sectors.
• Understanding of the bank’s strategic objectives, product suite, and risk appetite.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with credit administration and risk departments.
