Business & Corporate Credit Solutions Manager

About the role

The Business & Corporate Credit Solutions Manager will drive profitable growth of the bank’s credit portfolio by designing and delivering tailored financial solutions to business and corporate clients. Working closely with Business Bankers and Corporate Relationship Managers, the role bridges client needs with the bank’s risk and credit policies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis and recommend terms, pricing, and covenants that align with sound credit practices.
• Prepare and present credit proposals in partnership with Business Bankers and Relationship Managers.
• Monitor assigned credit portfolio, ensuring timely reviews, extensions, and compliance with expiry dates.
• Assess collateral adequacy and borrower capacity, presenting recommendations to the Credit Committee.
• Ensure all credit applications meet the bank’s lending policies, the Banking Act, and relevant regulations.
• Provide training, guidance, and coaching to sales and credit teams.
• Prepare commitment letters for approved loans promptly.

Required profile

• Thorough knowledge of the Jamaican commercial banking market and key industry sectors.
• Understanding of the bank’s objectives, segment strategies, and product offerings.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with bankers, relationship managers, and risk departments.
