Business & Corporate Credit Solutions Manager

About the role

The Business & Corporate Credit Solutions Manager will drive profitable growth of the bank’s credit portfolio by designing and delivering tailored financial solutions to business and corporate clients. Working closely with Business Bankers and Corporate Relationship Managers, the incumbent will assess risk, structure deals, price credit, and present proposals to clients and internal credit committees.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis and recommend terms, conditions, pricing, and covenants that align with sound credit practices.
• Prepare credit proposals in partnership with Business Bankers and Corporate Relationship Managers.
• Review assigned credit portfolio before expiry dates and manage extensions as needed.
• Ensure credit decisions comply with the bank’s lending policies, the Banking Act, and BOJ regulations.
• Present credit applications professionally and within service level agreements.
• Provide training, guidance, and coaching to sales and credit teams.
• Prepare commitment letters for approved loans promptly.

Required profile

• Thorough knowledge of the commercial banking marketplace in Jamaica.
• Understanding of key industries, competitive positioning, and the bank’s product suite.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
