Cashier – Level 4 (Government Agency)

About the role

The National Land Agency is seeking a Level 4 Cashier to manage the collection, recording, and safe custody of payments for agency services. Reporting to the Manager of Management Accounting, the role ensures compliance with the FAA Acts, Regulations, and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and record all payments received for agency services.
• Safeguard cash and ensure prompt lodgment in accordance with statutory requirements.
• Maintain accurate cash remittance records and reconcile daily transactions.
• Apply the FAA Act, Regulations, and Instructions to revenue collection and custody procedures.
• Utilise a computerised cash remittance system where applicable.

Required profile

• Five CXC/GCE subjects, including English Language and Mathematics or Accounts.
• At least one year of relevant cash handling or accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of the FAA Act, Regulations, and Instructions related to revenue collection.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a computerised cash remittance system.
