Continuous Improvement & Inventory Clerk

About the role

The Continuous Improvement & Inventory Clerk is a full‑time, on‑site position at Avalon Logistics Co. in Kingston, Jamaica. The role monitors and records inventory movements, maintains accurate stock levels and assists with regular cycle counts and audits. It also supports continuous‑improvement initiatives by gathering operational data, spotting process inefficiencies and helping implement standardized procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Update inventory management systems and ensure data accuracy.
• Prepare regular inventory reports for management.
• Coordinate with warehouse and operations staff to resolve discrepancies.
• Support safety and quality compliance within the warehouse.
• Collaborate with supervisors to document workflows and track performance metrics.
• Recommend practical improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy and customer service.

Required profile

• Proficiency with inventory management systems, spreadsheets and basic data‑analysis tools.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accurate record‑keeping.
• Ability to support continuous‑improvement efforts, including process mapping.
• Effective communication and collaboration with warehouse, logistics and administrative teams.
• Basic understanding of logistics, warehousing or supply‑chain operations.
• Comfort with on‑site, hands‑on work in a fast‑paced environment.
