Finance Officer – UNICEF Caribbean MCO

About the role

The Finance Officer supports finance activities across UNICEF’s Caribbean Multi‑Country Office, ensuring sound financial management, compliance with policies, and delivery of high‑quality finance services to enable effective programme implementation in twelve countries.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support on finance and accounting matters, including financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, treasury activities and donor reporting.
• Supervise one Finance Associate, ensuring timely completion of finance support tasks and adherence to procedures.
• Monitor compliance with internal controls, identify financial risks, and contribute to fraud prevention and detection.
• Support process‑improvement initiatives and implementation of new financial systems and digital tools.

Required profile

• University degree in accounting, financial management or related field (or equivalent CIPFA diploma).
• Relevant work experience in finance, accounting or financial management, preferably in an international or development setting.
• Strong knowledge of UNICEF Financial Regulations, IPSAS standards and corporate policies.
