Group Treasury Operations Officer – Treasury & Trading

About the role

The Group Treasury Operations Officer will join Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited’s Group Treasury Operations team in Kingston. The role focuses on efficient daily monitoring, processing and settlement of treasury transactions across the Sagicor Group, ensuring accuracy and timely execution of interest, coupon and principal payments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and reconcile settlements for treasury functions across the group.
• Research, post and verify interest, coupon and principal payments.
• Assist the FCU Department in clearing settlement and suspense accounts.
• Perform reconciliations of proprietary and custody assets, and investigate Clearwater trade and cash breaks.
• Input transactions on JAMCLEAR/PO and prepare daily files for Clearwater uploads.
• Verify that all daily trade files are reflected correctly in the Clearwater system.
• Track daily cashflow reports, respond to queries within 24 hours, and follow up on outstanding coupon and maturity payments.
• Reconcile broker statements against registers, adjust discrepancies, and dispatch payment instructions to clients.
• Monitor bank accounts and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Management Studies or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in a financial institution.
• Completion of the Jamaican Securities Course is an asset.
• High degree of accuracy, strong work ethic and ability to work independently under deadlines.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with spreadsheet and word‑processing applications.
• Experience using JAMCLEAR/PO system.
• Familiarity with Clearwater (CW) trade and cash platforms.
• Knowledge of Recon Insight for query handling.
• Understanding of settlement procedures, GOJ debt instruments and securities pricing.
