Human Resources Officer

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Human Resources Officer to oversee and coordinate the day‑to‑day HR functions of our organization. The successful candidate will ensure smooth recruitment, onboarding, payroll processing, and compliance with Jamaican labour regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage recruitment, onboarding, and employee documentation.
• Maintain personnel records, monitor contracts and key deadlines.
• Coordinate payroll information, leave, attendance, benefits, and other employee‑related matters.
• Prepare employment contracts, letters, policies, and other HR documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Jamaican labour laws and employment requirements.
• Support work permit and immigration processes when required.
• Coordinate staff training and performance evaluations.
• Manage employee relations and respond to staff queries.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee and company information.

Required profile

• A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least three years of relevant HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of Jamaican labour laws and employment practices.
• Experience with payroll coordination and work permit processes.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and follow‑up skills.
• High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and attention to detail.
