Retail Customer Service and Sales Associate

About the role

Sutherland is seeking a self‑motivated, team‑oriented individual to join as a Retail Customer Service and Sales Associate. You will handle inbound calls, chat or email inquiries, provide product information, and convert prospects into sales while delivering excellent service.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, actively listen to understand customer needs.
• Provide accurate information on products, pricing, promotions and identify sales opportunities.
• Guide customers through the sales process, achieve daily/weekly/monthly targets, and record interactions in the CRM.
• Upsell and cross‑sell appropriate products, collaborate with other departments, and stay updated on product knowledge and industry trends.

Required profile

• Minimum 3‑4 CXC/GCE subjects including English, or U.S. high school diploma/GED.
• Valid government ID, TRN, NIS card, and ability to pass background and drug checks.
• Flexible availability for any shift, including weekends and public holidays.
• 1‑3 years proven inbound sales or customer‑service experience, preferably in retail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM software for logging interactions and processing orders.
• Experience using Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and telephony call‑center systems.
• Ability to type at least 30 WPM with 80 % accuracy.
• Strong problem‑solving, active listening, and consultative selling abilities.
