Senior Accountant – Remote (North America Timezone)

About the role

Veta Virtual is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support a key financial services client. The position is fully remote and limited to candidates in the North American time zones. You will own end‑to‑end accounting operations, ensure compliance with U.S. standards, and provide actionable financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle for U.S.-based clients, including reconciliations, month‑end close, and financial reporting.
• Apply startup accounting principles to balance best practices with limited resources.
• Make accurate financial judgments in fast‑moving, less‑structured environments.
• Integrate and optimize external applications with QuickBooks Online.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, expense management, and vendor/client interactions.
• Stay current on emerging technologies and AI use cases that improve accounting efficiency.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of accounting experience with U.S. companies; CPA preferred.
• Proven ability to manage external stakeholders, ideally from public accounting or client‑facing roles.
• Strong knowledge of startup accounting practices and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Full professional fluency in English, both written and verbal.
