Senior Facilities Technician

About the role

A full-time, on-site Senior Facilities Technician position in Saint Ann, Jamaica, responsible for maintaining electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general building systems and supervising maintenance support staff.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the pool technician and any other maintenance support staff.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general building systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues to minimise downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, health regulations and villa standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report major issues to management.
• Collaborate with villa management and staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with setup, inspections and preparation for guest arrivals.
• Serve as an on-call point of contact for maintenance issues outside regular hours.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a villa, resort or hotel environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade certifications are a plus.
• Physically fit and able to handle the demands of property maintenance.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general building maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with homeowners, management and staff.
