Senior Manager, Financial Reporting, Planning & Analysis

About the role

Barita Merchant Bank is seeking a qualified finance manager to guide and monitor day‑to‑day financial operations, produce reports for management and regulators, and support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and approve daily journal entries, ledger schedules and ensure reconciliations follow bank policies.
• Supervise the finance team to achieve departmental goals and maintain efficient workflows.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, regulatory reports, fair‑value computations and quarterly ECL calculations.
• Manage accounts payable, annual budgeting, and coordinate the annual audit process.
• Research regulatory queries and respond to agencies in line with IFRS and the Banking Services Act.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, Banking or equivalent.
• ACCA/CA or CPA designation.
• Minimum six years of senior financial management experience, preferably in banking or financial services.

Required skills

• International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) compliance.
• Experience with Expected Credit Loss (ECL) calculations and fair‑value assessments.
• Strong knowledge of banking regulatory frameworks and audit coordination.
