Accounting Technician

About the role

Consilium Insurance Brokers is hiring an Accounting Technician in its Caribbean Wholesale location in Jamaica. The role supports finance operations across Jamaica and St Lucia, keeping premiums, payments, reconciliations and reporting accurate and timely. It suits an experienced accounting professional who wants responsibility from day one and the chance to broaden expertise across accounting, tax and payroll.

Key responsibilities

• Own premium allocations, reconciliations and payment processes, maintaining accurate financial records and strong cash control.
• Partner with broking teams, Group Finance and external accountants so financial information is complete, accurate and ready for reporting, audit and regulatory requirements.
• Support captive accounts, month-end processes and key reporting to turn financial data into reliable management information.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies to improve financial accuracy.
• Help move routine accounting, GCT and payroll processes from external providers into the business over time.
