Accounting Services Analyst II

About the role

Conduent delivers services and solutions on behalf of Fortune 100 companies and governments. As an Accounting Services Analyst II, you perform technical accounting activities, manage projects and engage key stakeholders. The role has no supervisory responsibilities but includes informal guidance to new team members.

Key responsibilities

• Report business-critical project and people metrics for client operations
• Liaise with accounts payable and business teams, and prepare monthly and quarterly balance justifications
• Coordinate month-end close, financial reporting, financial statements and supporting schedules
• Review and approve daily funding requests for new originations within delegated authority
• Perform general ledger and intercompany reconciliations, investigate variances and follow up on outstanding items
• Support annual G&A budgeting and monthly budget-to-actual variance analysis
• Prepare accounting reports, dashboards, presentations and monthly submissions to the CFO
• Liaise with external auditors and support financial, bank and compliance audits
• Improve accounting processes, streamline workflows, strengthen controls and monitor compliance
• Handle special projects, ad hoc financial analysis and other duties for senior management

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Accounting or equivalent from an accredited institution
• At least three years of industry or public accounting experience, including month-end close
• Knowledge of financial accounting, GL reconciliations and financial statements; lease accounting is an advantage
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Clear communication of complex financial information to teams, senior management, auditors and compliance reviewers
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime when required

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for financial analysis, reconciliations and reporting
• Attention to detail and ability to manage competing tasks and deadlines
