Accountant

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage daily financial operations in Rose Hall, Montego Bay. You will work five days a week with every other Saturday, handling a wide range of accounting tasks for hospitality and property management activities.

Key responsibilities

• Enter daily expenses, reconcile bank statements, and send bank balances for all required accounts.
• Process payments through Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe and manage related documentation.
• Handle physical credit‑card sales, petty cash, bank deposits and cheque writing.
• Maintain attendance records, prepare fortnightly payroll for staff and service providers, and generate weekly payables reports.
• Liaise with auditors, file monthly VAT and GCT reports, and manage property tax payments.
• Track back‑office inventory, place orders, reconcile purchase orders and invoices.
• Prepare manual invoices, quotations, and owner statements, and reconcile platform payments such as Booking.com.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Strong written and spoken English and ability to work independently under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using online payment platforms (Stripe, Hostaway, Airbnb) and bank reconciliation.
